Arizona DPS seizes 60 pounds of heroin at homes
PHOENIX (AP) - The Arizona Department of Safety has made several seizures adding up to 60 pounds of heroin.
KSAZ-TV reports the seizures included 50 pounds at one Phoenix-area home as well as $250,000 in cash.
DPS Sgt. Ton Mapp of DPS' Narcotics and Organized Crime bureau says it all started with a traffic stop that produced information leading to one of several homes that DPS believes served as distribution centers for heroin smuggled from Mexico.
The heroin was packaged, with much of it wrapped in electrical tape.
The names of four people arrested haven't been released.
