Eastside house fire displaces family of 6

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Flames engulfed an eastside house Sunday, forcing a family of six to seek shelter elsewhere.
Eight Tucson Fire units and 21 firefighters responded to the 6400 block of East Calle Cappela at about 7 p.m. Sunday to find 40 percent of the house covered in flames. Firefighters cut a hole in the roof to lower interior temperatures and extinguished flames in the bedroom. They had the blaze under control within 38 minutes.
The family wasn't home at the time of the fire. The Red Cross is aiding the family, which consists of two parents and four children, ages 18, 14, 7 and 1. Tucson Fire is investigating the cause and origin of the fire.
