MARANA, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - The procession and funeral for William Warneke will take place Wednesday afternoon in Marana.

Warneke is one of 19 members of the Granite Mountain Hotshot crew who died battling the Yarnell Hill Fire on June 30.

Warneke's remains will be flown to the Marana Regional Airport by a National Guard helicopter.

His casket will be placed on top of a Prescott Fire engine which will lead a procession to the Marana Mortuary.

Space will be significantly limited at his funeral service, so the public is encouraged to view the procession and pay their final respects along the procession route.

The procession will go from the Marana Airport:

  • North on Sanders to Moore
  • East on Moore to Sandario
