PRESCOTT, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) – Pete Wertheim, Communications and Public Affairs Manager with the City of Prescott has released the names of the 19 fallen heroes of the Granite Mountain Hotshots who gave their lives fighting the Yarnell Hill Fire

  • Christopher MacKenzie, age 30
  • Robert Caldwell, age 23
  • Clayton Whitted, age 28
  • Scott Norris, age 28
  • Dustin Deford, 24
  • Sean Misner, age 26
  • Garret Zuppiger, age 27
  • Travis Carter, age 31
  • Grant McKee, age 21
  • Travis Turbyfill, age 27
  • Jesse Steed, age 36
  • Wade Parker, age 22
  • Joe Thurston, age 32
  • William Warneke, age 25
  • John Percin, age 24

A caravan of white vans carrying the bodies of the 19 firefighters killed in the Yarnell Wildfire arrived in Phoenix on it's way to the Maricopa County Medical Examiner's Office shortly after noon Monday.

They passed under the arched ladders of two fire trucks with a large American flag billowing from another vehicle on a turnoff road.
The medical examiner's office in Phoenix will conduct autopsies on all 19 fallen firefighters.
