TUSD seeking feedback on new course curriculum
TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - The Tucson Unified School District wants the public's feedback on new literature course curriculum .
The curriculum is posted on the district's website and will be open for comment through July 8.
The feedback will be reviewed and considered in finalizing the content before going to the board for approval.
The proposed curriculum would be the foundation for the 11th and 12th grade literature classes and is the first portion of culturally relevant curriculum being presented for public review.
Next month, course studies in history and government will also be posted online.
The courses are part of the culturally relevant courses made available to students as outlined in the Unitary Status Plan.
