Suspected business burglar charged with 27 felonies
PIMA COUNTY, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - Deputies arrested a man wanted for almost 30 burglaries on the northwest side.
Deputy Jesus Banuelos with the Pima County Sheriff's Department tells KGUN9 that Richard Thomas Housman was arrested and charged with 27 felonies in relation to multiple burglaries that began last December.
Banuelos says deputies responded to a business on January 10 and found the evidence of a burglary. This began a three-month investigation that included multiple agencies.
On April 17, Oro Valley Police officers responded to a business near Oracle Road and Pusch View Lane because of a suspicious person report.
Officers then found two businesses that had been broken into, and found Houseman on a bicycle nearby who matched the description of the suspicious person.
Houseman had burglary tools and items from the businesses in his possession.
Other agencies received information from his arrest that night, and it was determined that he is involved in 25 other cases.
Houseman's DNA was linked to multiple burglaries on the northwest side.
He was booked into the Pima County Jail.
