TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Deputies are asking for help identifying a man who robbed a conveinence store with a sawed-off shotgun last week.
Deputies responded to the Quick Mart located at 900 west Roger Road at around 3:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 29 after receiving a 9-1-1 call about an armed robbery, according to Deputy Jesus Banuelos with the Pima County Sheriff's Department.
The clerk told deputies that he was approached at the counter by a man carrying a sawed-off shotgun who demanded money and cigarettes.
Surveillance video confirmed the clerk's account of events, and now, deputies need the public's help identifying and locating the man in the footage.
The store clerk described the man as being 5-feet-8-inches tall with a thin build, and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. The clerk also told deputies the sweatshirt was pulled down around the man's face and that the man wore a black material to conceal other areas of his face, according to Banuelos.
The clerk was unable to identify the man's ethnicity.
