Police: Man arrested in connection with May homicide
Police responded to a 9-1-1 call about a shooting in the 5400 block of east Andrews Street, near Craycroft Raod and 22nd Street, just after 12:00 a.m. Tuesday, according to Sgt. Chris Widmer with the Tucson Police Department.
TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Police have arrested a man in connection with a homicide investigation.
Sgt. Maria Hawke with Tucson police tells KGUN9 that on May 28, officers responded to reports of a shooting at a home in the 5400 block of East Andrew Street.
Oscar Steven Williams, 19, was pronounced dead at the scene.
As a result of their investigation, police determined that 30-year-old Manuel E. Martinez-Gomez had been present when the homicide happened.
Police searched for Martinez-Gomez and he was apprehended on August 8, said Hawke.
Martinez-Gomez was arrested for one count of second degree murder.
Homicide Unit detectives are working to continue and identify other persons who may have been present when the incident occurred.
