"Waiting on our big break to come": Celis family keeps hope alive

By Marcelino Benito. CREATED May 6, 2013

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - News out of Cleveland prove anything can happen and help families with missing children hold on to hope, families like the Celis's whose daughter Isabel went missing a little more than a year ago.

For weeks, hundreds of law enforcement officials from different agencies combed through the neighborhood and throughout the city of Tucson for little "Isa". All those searches did come up empty. But the Celis family has never lost hope. They point to Monday's night's news out of Cleveland as evidence that their little girl can one day be found alive.

"When we get to hear the other stories about people being found and being found by the community spotting them, absolutely, there's that much more hope," said Sergio Celis.

"There was a positive outcome, and we just have to be diligent and patient waiting for our big break to come so we can be the ones that say we have our baby girl back," said Becky Celis.

Two TPD detectives remain assigned to the case, but they are not full time.  TPD also says they continue to get 2 to 3 tips per week, some come from out of state.

If you have any information that can help bring Isabel home, call 911 or 88-Crime.
