UPDATE: We are receiving more information on the origin of the Foothills Mall bomb threat.
Tom Peine, a spokesperson for the Pima County Sheriff's Department tells KGUN 9 that Foothills Mall received notice of a bomb threat from mall security that had activated an alarm after receiving news of a perceived threat.
Following that notice, the mall was evacuated so that investigators could figure out where the danger was coming from.
About two hours later, no threat was found and the mall was reopened.
No one has been arrested and deputies are still investigating where exactly the threat came from.
Foothills Mall is currently under complete evacuation because of a reported bomb threat. Pima County Sheriff's Department is on the scene.
PCSO have set up a staging area near the Nike Store. Officers are working with employees to search stores for any possible threat.
