Police investigating shooting at Club Turbulence

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Officers with Tucson Police are investigating an early morning shooting that occurred on Tucson's southside.

Sgt. Chris Widmer tells KGUN9 that officers responded to Club Turbulence, located at 6608 South Tucson Boulevard, just before 2:00 a.m. Friday after several people called 9-1-1.

Widmer says a fight started between several individuals before someone fire a gun.

A victim in the shooting was found in a vehicle a few miles away from the scene, near Old Nogales Highway and Valenica Road, according to Widmer.

The victim, an adult man, was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, Widmer says.

Aggravated assault detectives responded to the scene to begin an investigation. They spoke with witnesses and collected evidence, according to Widmer.

At this time no arrests have been made in connection with this shooting and police are still investigating.
