PHOENIX (AP) - Arizona Attorney General Tom Horne plans a news conference to discuss how his how his agency and others helped a woman and her six children leave a polygamist sect along the Utah-Arizona border.

The Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is one of the nation's largest polygamist communities and is based in the border towns of Hildale, Utah, and Colorado City, Ariz. The group's jailed leader, Warren Jeffs, is said to still be controlling the sect from behind bars in Texas. Jeffs is serving a life sentence after convictions on child sex and bigamy charges.

The news conference set for Tuesday afternoon also is set to include the 26-year-old woman who fled the sect, along with Mohave County officials.
