Avra Fire District responds to mobile home fire

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - The Avra Fire District responded to reports of a mobile home fire at the address of 17561 W Redrock Lane around 10:45 p.m., Jan. 15.
In a news release, spokesperson Patrick Calhoun said that upon arrival, units found two single-wide trailers that were involved in fire. Units on the scene reported heavy flame and smoke coming from one of the trailers.
Firefighters kept the fire confined to the back of the two trailers. However, the travel trailer was a complete loss. Firefighters breached some of the walls in the trailers to find and extinguish some hot spots throughout the trailers.
Avra Valley Fire District also received help from the Northwest Fire District. It took a total of 12 firefighters about 25 minutes to extinguish the fire.
One person was living in the residence at the time of the fire and no injuries reported. The homeowner is displaced at this time and the Red Cross has been notified to assist the homeowner.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
