Oro Valley police looking for bank robber

ORO VALLEY, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - The Oro Valley Police Department is asking the public to help identify a man who robbed a bank Friday evening.

Lt. Kara Riley with OVPD tells KGUN9 that at about 5:00 p.m. Friday, a man entered the Bank of the West in the 11700 block of North Rancho Vistoso Boulevard, demanded money and implied he had a weapon.

He was last seen running on Alamo Canyon, west of the bank.

Police say he is white and between 5'10'' and 6-foot weighing about 200 pounds. He was heavily clothed, wearing a blue ski mask and gloves that were the same color and fabric as the mask.

He also had Oakley-brand black motorcycle or ski goggles, an olive green zippered jacket, blue jeans and black tennis shoes with white horizontal lines on the heel.

He also had black duct tape wrapped around his wrist over the jacket and on his upper arms.

Anyone with information on the identity of this man is asked to call 911, 88-CRIME or the Oro Valley Police at 229-4900.
