TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Units from the Avra Valley Fire District and Northwest Fire District arrived at the scene of a mobile home fire at 12500 N Kalama Circle around 2:15 a.m. Monday morning.
Patrick Calhoun with the Avra Valley Fire District said the fire likely started from a mobile swap cooling unit that was placed on the bedroom floor.
It took 12 firefighters about five minutes to get the fire under control. Firefighters stopped the spread of fire throughout the rest of the bedroom and the home.
A family of four was sleeping in the home at the time of the fire. Paramedics evaluated two residents on the scene for smoke inhalation, but no one was taken to the hospital.
The residents will stay in a hotel for the night and will return to their home in a few days.
