TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - ESPN Tucson 1490/104.9fm will be providing live up-to-the-minute coverage of The University of Arizona Medical Center's 30th El Tour de Tucson presented by Casino del Sol Resort from 7:00 AM until noon on ride day.

Allen "Big Al" Kath from 94.9 MIXfm and KGUN 9 TV will once again report all the action on this year's contenders directly from the pace car. Whether you're keeping tabs on the excitement from the comfort of your home, watching the cyclists along one of the routes or participating in the event yourself, you can know everything that's happening, as it happens, by tuning into 104.9 FM or 1490 AM.

94.9 MIXfm's Bobby Rich, Greg Curtis and Mrs. Grant will also be on-site and on-air reporting from other staggered rides as they kick off throughout the morning.

Held annually the Saturday before Thanksgiving, El Tour is a fun adventure ride attracting over 9,000 cyclists of all ages and abilities from throughout the United States and worldwide, consisting of novice, intermediate, advanced, and professional riders.

Ride day begins with the 111-mile Main Event followed by the 85-Mile El Tour, the Intuit 60-Mile El Tour, the Sanofi 42-Mile El Tour and the Diamond Children’s El Tour Fun Ride presented by McDonald’s. 

Kids activities, music, a Michelob ULTRA Garden, food, massages and an on-going Grand Cycling Awards Ceremony round out the day.
