TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Tucson Police are trying to identify a man detectives say robbed multiple banks in the last two months, according to Sgt. Chris Widmer with TPD.
Widmer tells KGUN9 that a man entered the U.S. Bank inside the Safeway store at 2140 W. Grant Rd. on Wednesday and gave the teller a note demanding money and threatening harm.
He was given an undisclosed amount of money and left the bank. He was last seen walking eastbound from Safeway.
Police say detectives believe this is the same man who robbed multiple banks in the Tucson area the last two months.
He is described as a Caucasian or Hispanic male, 25 to 35 years old, 5'8'', and 180 to 190 pounds.
During the robbery on Wednesday, the man was wearing a red, white and blue Arizona Wildcat baseball cap, a dark hooded jacket, tan colored pants and large frame women's style glasses with rose colored lenses.
Police say anyone with information is encouraged to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
