TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - A man riding a motorcycle without a helmet was killed Friday after he hit a truck, according to Sgt. Chris Widmer with Tucson Police.
Widmer tells KGUN9 that Clemente Valdez, 31, was traveling northbound on Country Club Road when he collided with a 1995 Chevrolet Pickup that had pulled into the universal turn lane.
Valdez was attempting to pass a slower vehicle by using the universal turn lane, and was killed on impact.
Police say speed appears to be a contributing factor in the accident.
The driver and sole occupant of the pickup truck was not injured.
