LONDON (KGUN-9) Tucsonan Matt Grevers set an Olympic record with the men's 100 meter backstroke on Monday.
Grevers finished in 52.06 seconds. The time was .38 better than American Aaron Peirsol's mark at the 2008 Olympic games.
Former University of Arizona swimmer Nick Thoman took home the silver with 52.92
