TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - The funeral services for a Nogales firefighter who died after a hit-and-run accident will be held July 9, according to Nogales Fire Chief Hector Robles.

Services for Sterling Lytle will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 6901 E. Kenyon Dr. in Tucson.

The City of Nogales Fire Department will hold a memorial service for Lytle in the coming weeks and will release that information when they have it.

Lytle sustained life-threatening injuries after a hit-and-run accident in a parking lot on Alvernon Way.

He was taken off life-support Tuesday at University of Arizona Medical Center.

The accident is under investigation by the Tucson Police Department.
