TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Tucson Police have located and identified the man and woman involved in the numerous incidents involving law enforcement impersonations in the Tucson area.

Sgt. Chris Widmer tells KGUN9 the vehicle used in these incidents has been impounded and their law enforcement uniforms and gear have been confiscated.

Charges of the man and woman are pending at this time.  Their descriptions as well as their vehicle are being withheld for investigative reasons.

In several incidents, the suspects conducted traffic stops on citizens using specially mounted emergency equipment on their vehicle. The suspects gave verbal warnings for traffic violations, said Widmer.

The man and woman used a vehicle equipped with emergency lights and sirens, but it did not have any law enforcement markings or insignia.  They were typically dressed in police uniforms and equipped with police gear.

Police are asking anyone who may have had contact with individuals to call 9-1-1 or (520)791-4444.
