TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - The Pima County Sheriff’s Department has identified the boy found wandering Tucson's southside.
Thomas Peine tells KGUN9 they received reports of a child found in the 3200 block of West Avenida Luna, in the vicinity of Camino De La Tierra and Valencia Road.
When deputies arrived, they found a boy who was wearing only a diaper and black Champion sports shoes.
It had been determined that the grandmother was babysitting the child. She believed the child was in bed, but then discovered that he was gone, says Peine. When she located an open backyard gate, she immediately began looking for the boy.
Neighbors heard her yelling his name and informed her they had seen the child with deputies.
