TUCSON (KGUN9- TV) -  A Tucson man is fighting for his life tonight at a Maricopa County burn center after his neighbors pulled him from a burning shed.

Several people called to report the smoke and fire coming from the 200 Block fo North Palomas, near Grande and Congress about one p.m. Neighbors said they heard explosions and then screaming. Tucson Fire says the neighbors pulled the elderly man out just as fire crews arrived.

Capt. Jeff Langejans, Tucson Fire Dept., "He had third degree burns on his back and on different parts of his body.  The neighbors heard explosions prior to coming out and seeing the fire."

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
