Day 6: Police still following up on leads, no new developments

TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Tucson Police held another media briefing at 12:00 p.m. Thursday and said there are still no new developments in the missing case of 6-year-old Isabel Mercedes Celis.

Investigators have received about 300+ leads and are continuing to receive a steady flow of tips.  They will continue to follow any new leads that are received.

The lead sheets, or questionnaires, are being canvassed around the neighborhood where Isabel Celis went missing.

A $30,000 reward is being offered through 88-CRIME for anyone with information that that may lead to finding Isabel.

Lt. Fabian Pacheco said "our focus is to bring Isabel home, to her parents, alive".

On Wednesday, Rebecca and Sergio Celis addressed the media during a news conference.

Rebecca went first and stated, "to the millions of people around the world who continue to pray and volunteer their time and endless efforts.  We do not want you to focus on anything but Isa being returned to us.  We are here today to plea for a safe return of our baby girl Isabel."

Then Sergio Celis addressed the media and said, "we are cooperating to the fullest extent with the investigation. We are increasing the reward. Just please, please to the person or persons who has Isabel tell us your demands. Tell us what you want, we will do anything for her. We are looking for you Isa we love you and we miss you so much.  We will never give up we will never give up looking for you."

The next media briefing by Tucson Police will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
