SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) -Four people involved in a weekend home invasion are still on the loose, but Cochise County  Sheriff's Police say they are closing in on the suspects. Monday,  a break in the case as police release the name of one of the suspects. Jon Garcia is one of the men authorities are looking for, but they still don't know the names of the other three men.
9OYS spoke to residents around the northwest Sierra Vista neighborhood where the home invasion occurred. Marge Davis' family owns a nearby business in the normally quiet area. She says the crime makes her nervous, but she has taken protective steps in her home. "I'm covered so that when I am in [my] house, I have got everything locked down with an alarm system," said Davis. She also told 9OYS that she relies on a loud dog to alert her to danger.

The Cochise County Sheriff's Department is now handling the investigation to find the men responsible. Deputy Carol Capas warns in this situation, its best to call police before answering late night knocks. "If [someone] hasn't had recent contact with law enforcement, if they don't have reason to believe law enforcement would want to contact them, its late at night or early in the morning, we are strongly suggesting that people not open the door," Capas said. "Call a local law enforcement agency to see if it is someone that needs to speak with them."

During the robbery, the suspects reportedly unscrewed a light on the victims' front porch. Capas says to make your home less of a target, consider buying outdoor lighting that is enclosed to protect the light bulb from being tampered with. Also, peep holes in doors can help you identify who is outside before opening the door.

If you know the whereabouts of Jon Garcia or any other information about this home invasion, do not approach the suspects, instead call the Cochise County Sheriff's Department or 88-CRIME. You can remain anonymous.
