She's the reigning princess of country and pop, so where else would Taylor Swift be but hanging with England's Prince William. Taylor and rocker Jon Bon Jovi joined the Duke of Cambridge at London's Kensington Palace, at the event, which raised fund for Centrepoint, a homeless charity.
The unlikely trio collaborated on a version of Bon Jovi's "Livin' on a Prayer." The Guardian reports, "With Bon Jovi taking the low notes and playing acoustic guitar, and Swift going for the big karaoke top line, William went for a well-executed mid-range harmony."
Taylor performed her hits "I Knew You Were Trouble" and "Love Story," and noted that the latter "has reference to palaces, princes and princesses and it is very strange that I end up playing it in a palace ... I don't think I've ever played at a palace before, so it is really wonderful."
Taylor did have a spot of bother with one aspect of her visit. Asked by a reporter about William and Kate's baby, Prince George," she told the Times' royal correspondent, "I love your accent, but I just don't know what you're saying."
