Tornado touches down near Cedar Vale

A large storm system moved through central and eastern Kansas Monday night, bringing heavy rain, baseball size hail in some places, and one or two tornadoes.
A tornado was reported north of Highway 166 and east of K-15 just after 8:00 p.m. Monday, Sept. 1. It briefly lifted off the ground.
Another report of a tornado came in at about 8:26 p.m. southwest of Cedar Vale, about 60 miles southeast of Wichita. No reports of damage or injuries were immediately released.
There is a chance of some isolated storms late Tuesday night in south central Kansas.
