New snow prompts some school districts to close Monday
Snow fell in amounts a lot of people didn't expect in Sedgwick County, prompting some school districts to cancel classes and others to run on delayed schedules.
As of 5 a.m., 3.8 inches of snow had fallen at Wichita's Mid Continent Airport. Later in the morning, 4.5 inches was reported in southwest Sedgwick County.
Wichita Public Works snow plows were out working before 4:30 a.m. They had remained on a 24-hour, rotating schedule through the weekend.
