More heavy rain slated for Central Kansas
Less than 48 hours after a storm system produced between 3 and 6 inches of rain in Central Kansas, more rain is ticketed for the area.
A flood watch has been issued for portions of Central Kansas, including Wichita, for tomorrow night into Thursday morning.
Our weather partners at Storm Team 12 say that a storm system moving in from the northwest will cause showers and thunderstorms to develop late in the day Wednesday. That area of storms will move across the state Wednesday night into Thursday.
The storms may be initially severe in western Kansas, with large hail and strong winds being the main concern. In Central Kansas, gusty winds and heavy rain will be the main concern, with some locations recieving between 1 and 3 inches of rain.
After a break Thursday afternoon and Friday, more storms are in the forecast for the second half of the weekend.
