Gunman robs west Wichita convenience store
Police are looking for a man who took cash at gunpoint from a west Wichita convenience store. The man demanded money from a clerk at the Presto store at Maple and Tracy just beofre 6 p.m. Saturday.
Police sergeant Ed Brower said as the robbery was taking place, a customer walked into the store, and the gunman ordered him to get down to the floor. The gunman got away with cash, and no one was hurt.
The robber was described as African-American, around 6 feet tall and 150 pounds, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and gray basketball shorts.
