Downtown Wichita stabbing victim identified
Police have released the name of a man who was stabbed around Naftzger Park in downtown Wichita.
A man was near the 200 block of South St. Francis at about 9 p.m. Monday when 39-year-old Charles Stoneman approached him and asked for help. Stoneman was bleeding badly.
Police officers interviewed several witnesses and arrested a 22-year-old man. He was booked into jail on suspicion of aggravated battery.
Stoneman was admitted to a hospital for a puncture wound to the liver.
