Cards for the Cure set to go in Wichita
Cards for the Cure is set to go Friday and Saturday in Wichita.
The High Roller Poker Challenge goes Friday night, the Kansas Poker Championship and Ladies-Only Poker Palooza is set for Saturday at Beech Activity Center.
Cards for the Cure is an annual event. In the last three years, more than $145,000 has been raised. Event Director Spike Anderson expects this will be their best year yet.
The event raises funds for the Kansas affilicate of Susan G. Komen. Komen Mid-Kansas serves 95 of the 105 counties in Kansas. It funds breast screenings, education, community outreach and research in Kansas.
