Wichita Police have released more details on a crash that killed four people and seriously injured another person Saturday night.
Police say the driver of the Ford Escape SUV - 39 year old Andrew Montgomery - may have suffered a medical condition while driving.
Police say the SUV was traveling between 70-80 miles per hour on a frontage road, beside Kellogg , near Oliver, when it swerved to the left, hit a median, then finally a retaining wall.
Four people died on impact, including Montgomery.
Front seat passenger, 26 year old Jessica Metzger, and back seat passengers, 23 year old Sara Smith, and 27 year old Victoria Dougherty, were killed.
A 34 year old woman - who was in the back seat - was taken to a hospital in critical condition. She was thrown from the vehicle, and was found by a police officer on the sidewalk.
Lt. Joe Schroeder says the crash was not survivable.
He says it appears Metzger, and the surviving passenger, tried to take control of the vehicle, by grabbing the wheel. He says that likely saved the life of a driver who was stopped at a red light at Oliver.
The 4 women had hired Triple B's Express to drive them around Saturday night.
Police say there is no indication that alcohol was a factor.
