Police identify victims of triple homicide in southeast Wichita
Wichita police have a 41-year-old man in custody for the shooting deaths of three people at a home late Monday night. Officers were called to a home at 2207 South Beech, near Harry and Webb Road, on a report of a disturbance with a number of shots fired.
Homicide lieutenant Todd Ojile said a police supervisor looked into a window and saw two bodies inside the home, and officers then forced their way into the home. The 41-year-old man was arrested in a bedroom without incident, and the body of 45-year-old Tuyet Huynh, the homeowner, was found in the bedroom. Police said the suspect is the boyfriend of Huynh, and he was booked into jail on murder charges.
The body of 21-year-old Sean Pham was found in a hallway, and his wife, 20-year-old Trinh Pham, was found in a basement bedroom. A five-month-old child was found unharmed in that bedroom, and the child is now with family members.
The deaths bring the number of homicides to 14 for the year so far in Wichita.
