Luke Bryan will appear on an episode of ABC's "Nashville" this season. Jason Aldean knows the name of his new album but he is keeping it to himself for now. He says the album is ready and will be released in late September or early October. We should get the title, cover art and track listing in the next couple of weeks.
Gary LeVox has lost his voice again. Three Rascal Flatts concerts have been cancelled as a result. Jay DeMarcus, speaking for the group, says, "It is incredibly difficult to make the decision to cancel shows and disappoint our loyal fans who have been so good to us over the years. The schedule of shows this past weekend, coupled with media days in New York City, have left him without a voice. We promise to return as soon as we can and give our fans the best show possible!”
The cancelled shows were scheduled for August 7, 8 and 9 at venues in Idaho, Washington and Canada. Rascal Flatts cancelled several other concerts this year because of Gary's vocal problems, and the band was famously caught lip synching during their performances on the Academy of Country Music Awards in April, which the band later admitted happened because Gary lost his voice just prior to the show.
Justin Moore says being a dad has had a big impact on one area of his life, "I don’t drive that fast anymore," he says. "When I was growing up in high school, I had a Ford Lightning, which is a performance truck. For all the car enthusiasts out there, they’ll know what that is. Now, with [three] little kids, I don’t drive that fast anymore. So I’m fortunate to have made it through that stage of my life unscathed.”
