Victim in North Tulsa Shooting Has Died
TULSA (KTUL) Tulsa Police homicide detectives say the victim of a shooting in north Tulsa died early Tuesday morning.
Officers have not released the name of the 44-year-old man.
The call went out just before 2:45 a.m. from the 6300 block of N. Elwood Avenue near the Tulsa-Osage County line.
Investigators say people inside the home heard someone breaking into their car.
Police say when they went outside to investigate, the burglar started shooting.
The victim was hit in the chest. Another bullet went into the house, piercing a playpen where a child was sleeping. The child was not injured.
Police are working to develop a suspect description.
