No injuries after emergency landing in Tulsa
TULSA, Okla. (AP) Tulsa airport officials say there were no injuries when a pilot was forced to make an emergency landing on a roadway shortly after taking off from Tulsa International Airport.
Airport spokeswoman Alexis Higgins told reporters that a single-engine Cessna departed about 3:45 p.m., but had some sort of malfunction and the pilot landed on East 69th Street. Higgins says that stretch of pavement is an access road to the airport that is rarely used.
Higgins says the pilot and one passenger were not injured and that the aircraft apparently had no additional damage after landing.
