ENID (KFAQ) - The Oklahoma State Health Department is warning about syphilis outbreak in Enid.
Garfield County officials say tests are showing a higher rate of syphillis in the Enid area than normal and they are warning residents - especially those in their 20's - of the problem.
Maggie Johnson with the Garfield County Health Department says there were 10 cases reported last year, but so far this year there have been 18. The number may not seem that large, but health officials say it is, especially considering the population of Enid. They are working to get information out to the public.
