Florida couple trapped in house after their 'crazy cat' attacks

A Florida couple was trapped inside their own bedroom after their cat turned on them. The woman called 911 for help.

Listen to the audio from the emergency call above.

"I just called about my crazy cat -- she tore me and my husband up," the unidentified woman is heard saying. "We're ripped up."

The woman says she may have stepped on the 4-year-old cat's tail, which possibly prompted "Kush" to attack.

"We just need her out of her house. We don't know what to do," she says. "I can't get to the door to let anybody in. There's no way to get out. I love this cat to death, but I've never seen her act like this."

After a failed attempt at taking Kush to the veterinarian six months prior, due to the cat attacking them, Kush was not up-to-date on her shots.

"DeLand Animal Control officers arrived later and removed the cat, which will be quarantined for 10 days at the Second Chance kennel in DeLand and will be tested for rabies," reports WKMG Local 6. "Once the quarantine is over the couple can decide if they want to take it home or give it away."

The couple denied treatment for their cuts from the cat attack.
