FT. MYERS, Fla. - Page Field took family fun to new heights Saturday for its annual Aviation Day.
The free event drew in thousands for an up close look at antique plans, helicopter rides and police and fire demonstrations.
You also got the chance to look inside some historic war planes, like the Killer B.
"These are WWII planes that trained here, this one trained here, at Fort Myers and it's famous for the Dolittle raid of Japan so a lot of people who come out to the event are veterans or love history and this is perfect for them," Barbara-Anne Urrutia, Lee County Port Authority Public Affairs Officer, said.
Those who attended the event were asked to bring a non-perishable food item for the Harry Chapin Food Bank.
