Thieving teens target Gateway home

By FOX 4 Staff. CREATED Oct 31, 2013

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Two teenagers are wanted in connection with an attempted home burglary in Gateway along with three car burglaries on the same street.

Crime Stoppers has released screen captures from a home surveillance camera taken of the two young men in the early morning hours of Monday October 28th.

The suspects managed to pry the sliding glass door open, but then walked away.  While at the home, they also attempted to remove the screen on the master bedroom window, which was open.

That same morning, in the pre-dawn hours, three unlocked cars parked on the same street were broken into, with miscellaneous items taken from each.  Detectives believe all four incidents are related, and that the young men responsible are familiar with the neighborhood they targeted.
Anyone with information on the identities of these two young men are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).  All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.  Tips may also be made online at or by texting a tip to CRIMES (274637) Keyword: REWARD.
