FORT MYERS, Fla. - FHP is investigating a traffic crash involving a Lee County school bus at the intersection of Orange River Blvd and River Grove Lane in Fort Myers.
FHP investigators say they got the call around 9:20 a.m. about a school bus crashing into an electricity pole.
Five kids and an assistant were onboard the bus at the time of the crash as well as the driver.
According to law enforcement on the scene, the bus driver says the bus swerved left and into the pole.
Initial reports do not reflect that weather or speed were factors.
EMS screws were dispatched as a precaution, but no injuries are reported.
An FHP spokesman says another bus has already arrived and transported the kids to school.
FHP continues to investigate the crash.
FPL is on scene and working to erect the broken electric pole.
