NAPLES - Linda Karp was shocked when she received a letter last night telling her to take her down the pink ribbon that means so much to her.
"Oh I'm very angry... These people are being outrageously unkind," Karp said.
Linda Karp said the pink ribbon is a symbol of courage and survival for the battle she won against breast cancer sixteen years ago.
"The pink ribbon represents awareness," Karp said.
But the homeonwers association at Regent's Park in Naples, the community where Linda has
rented a villa for the last three years, is telling her the pink ribbon is a violation rules.
"I'm not offending anyone. my neighbors are all supportive of breast cancer I don't know why their not," she said.
Karp showed Four In Your Corner pictures of where the pink ribbon is displayed... and it's inside her home.
"It's on the inside of my entry-way," she said.
Four In Your Corner reached out to get the H-O-A to get some answers. The representative declined our request for an interview but provided a copy of the associations documents.
We did not see anything in the documents specifically stating that signs inside the home were not allowed. The H-O-A did not return any of our follow-up calls.
As for Linda, this is another fight she intends to win.
"I want them to leave me alone. It's a pink ribbon... I'm not removing it," Karp said.
