FGCU women advance to NCAA Tournament

FORT MYERS, Fla. - FGCU went to overtime to beat Stetson 72-70 and land a slot in the NCAA Women's Tournament.

The Eagles were led by Jenna Cobb's 19 points which earned her the MVP for the A-Sun Tournament.  Sarah Hanen poured in another 13 as FGCU closed down a 2nd half deficit. Stetson scored the last six points of regulation as Sasha Sims hit a runner in the lane with :09 to go sending the game into overtime.

The Eagles managed to hold on for the win in the extra period and will find out Monday their first round foe in the tournament with 26 wins against 7 defeats.
