CAPE CORAL, Fla. - The dominant feature over the Atlantic Basin since the start of hurricane season has been the enormous amount of Saharan air exiting the west coast of Africa.

Over the weekend, satellite imagery has been showing a dramatic drop in its areal coverage with the greatest concentration only reaching half way across the Atlantic Ocean.

There are a few tropical waves moving across the Atlantic while unsettled weather impacts areas long the west coast of Central American and the Yucatan Peninsula.

The National Hurricane Center is not expected any development over the next 48 hours.
