Double murder suspect captured in Immokalee
IMMOKALEE, Fla. - A man wanted in connection with in a Sunday double murder in Immokalee was captured early Saturday morning.
An anonymous tip led Collier County deputies to a home in the 900 block of Chapman Lane where 34-year-old Evoull Bachat was captured at 3:50 a.m.
Bachat has been charged with the two counts of second-degree murder in the slayings of Guilene Toussaint, 21, and Elkim Angervil, 30.
Detectives say Bachat followed his ex-girlfriend Touissant to an apartment in the 500 block of Doak Avenue and started a verbal fight with her.
Toussaint went inside the apartment where her current boyfriend Angervil was already inside. Bachat then forced his way into the apartment and shot Angervil with a handgun.
He then chased Touissant down the street and shot her and then fled the scene.
