Fort Myers man arrested for sex assault, car theft

FORT MYERS, Fla. - A Fort Myers man was arrested Saturday morning on a variety of charges including sexual assault stemming for an incident at an apartment complex on Metro Parkway.

26-year-old Terrence Lamont Faison faces charges of sexual assault, burglary with assault or battery, grand theft auto and operating a motor vehicle without a license.

According to Fort Myers police, the victim reported a sexual assault telling investigators she had been severely beaten by Faison, who she had met a few weeks prior.  The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment

As police handled that crime scene a call came from another apartment complex about a stolen vehicle.  Faison is accused of taking a car that belonged to an acquaintance.

Police investigating the sex assault spotted Faison exiting the stolen vehicle at the apartment complex where the assault had occurred.  

Police took him to the department for questioning and he was subsequently arrested.
