Suspects charged in Fishin' Frank's burglary
PORT CHARLOTTE – Police have arrested two suspects in connection with Wednesday night burglary of the Fishin’ Frank’s Bait & Tackle Shop.
According to police, a detective investigating the case recognized the man in the surveillance video . Fishin’ Frank’s also posted the video of the suspect on their Facebook page which provided detectives with numerous phone tips stating that the man in the video was Albert Colaluca.
According to police during a search of Colaluca’s residence they located a brand new fishing rod and reel.
The second suspect was arrested after a woman called police to report that the car seen in the video was hers.
According to police she told them she had lent it to Robert Wombolt, and that she had found a latex glove in the back of her car.
Colaluca, 59, and Wombolt, 44, were arrested and charged with burglary and grand theft and ordered into the custody of the Sheriff.
Wombolt was also charged with violation of probation.
Police located a substantial portion of the stolen property in a wooded area near Murdock.
