FORT MYERS, Fla. - Lee County Memorial Health Systems had reported 11 births by 10 p.m. on this Mother's Day 2013. Two of the births were twins.
The first child, a girl, who came a week early. Zuleka Zuazo gave her mother a heads up around 3 a.m. Nieves Jimenez said, "When I saw that I was getting too close, the contractions were getting close, I thought, oh my God, I'm having it on Mother's Day!"
For Jimenez, it's her third child, with labor lasting only two hours. She said, "Oh I think this was easier... I didn't suffer that much.
Zuleka weighed in at 7 pounds, 9 ounces and 29 and a half inches long.
