Two drug arrests in Charlotte County
PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - Two Port Charlotte men were arrested early Wednesday morning on multiple drug charges as the result of a search warrant executed by the Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit.
The Narcotics Unit with the assistance of the Street Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at 457 Cypress Avenue in Port Charlotte. When they arrived, they found 63-year old Henry Thomas and 55-year-old Jerry Thomas at the residence.
After Henry Thomas complied with detectives’ request to secure the dog in the back of the house, they located a baggie of suspected cannabis where Henry Thomas had been standing.
During the search, detectives located cannabis and residue which tested positive for cocaine.
As a result, both Henry Thomas and Jerry Thomas were arrested on charges of Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Morphine, Possession of Marijuana less than 20 grams and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Jerry Thomas is being held at the Charlotte County Jail on a total of $30,500 bond.
